ABOUT ME
Picture
I am currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. With the Tarrant and Saito labs, I am investigating the molecular regulation of diapause in the keystone copepod Calanus finmarchicus.

I completed my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Boston University in the labs of Drs. Tom Gilmore and Sarah Davies. My dissertation work characterized molecular metrics of symbiosis, immunity, and stress in corals using facultative cnidarian models (notably the sea anemone Exaiptasia pallida and the stony coral Oculina arbuscula). I used physiological, molecular, genomic, metagenomic, and Single Cell RNA-sequencing techniques to describe the nuances of the cnidarian immune system as it relates to symbiosis. Prior to my PhD, I completed a BA in Biology at Swarthmore College.
